Sustainable Package

The design philosophy of Sustainable Package is rooted in reverence and gratitude for nature. We aspire to bridge the gap between traditional tea culture and modern life, exploring the flavors of Taiwanese tea in a more environmentally friendly and approachable manner. Therefore, we integrate this belief into our brand name. This is Puzhen Tea’s homage and admiration for the pristine beauty of this land.

In order to achieve respect and protection for the environment, in 2023, we introduced the Sustainable Package program. This program utilizes packaging materials without paper or tin cans, aiming to reduce the amount of packaging while providing consumers with more quantity of tea products. Our intention is to start from the source, providing consumers with a purer tea experience through environmentally friendly packaging, while also embarking on a new journey to explore Taiwanese tea.

Paper, as a common green environmental material, is primarily made from renewable resources such as wood and cellulose, thus having the potential for recycling. Paper is also a biodegradable material, capable of decomposing into harmless compounds in a short period, causing relatively minimal environmental impact. Biodegradation refers to the process in which living organisms break down substances into basic compounds like carbon dioxide, water, and biomass. For natural materials like paper, the degradation process usually takes only a few months or even shorter, which is significant for reducing environmental pollution. In contrast, other synthetic materials like plastic degrade much slower, often taking decades or even centuries, imposing a heavier burden on the environment. Recycling paper not only conserves natural resources but also reduces energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, and improves waste management efficiency, alleviating pressure on the natural environment. By recycling paper, the amount of fresh wood harvested can be effectively reduced, protecting forest resources and promoting sustainable development.

The Sustainable Package program advocated by Puzhen Tea aims to contribute to environmental protection by reducing the use of packaging materials, choosing eco-friendly materials, and promoting the recycling of paper. This effort enhances the freshness and purity of our tea products while contributing to the protection of the Earth’s environment.
